About

Kai grew up in Regensburg, Germany, where he also pursued his undergraduate studies in International Relations and Management. Since then, he worked in several roles around Europe, including in the European Parliament and as a researcher at the Austrian Economics Center. He is a board member of the Friedrich A. v. Hayek Institute in Vienna, Austria, and a Don Lavoie Fellow at the Mercatus Center. His writing has been published in outlets such as The Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Express, and conservative blogs such as Law & Liberty, The American Conservative, and Public Discourse. In his spare time, Kai can be found either hiking in the mountains, reading Catholic theology and history, and watching Chicago Bears football.
