As an undergraduate, I never cracked a book on Plato or took a class that focused on the American founding. I was able to explain the pitfalls of import substitution industrialization, but not summarize Federalist 10. Hillsdale has not only offered me the chance to rectify this shortfall, but has assembled a very special collection of professors who focus on the principles that underpinned our Republic at her founding, and could inform a restoration today. To be able to learn from teachers who actually value the timeless wisdom of the founders is a special treat.
I hope to find work as a think tank fellow as well as a position as a columnist focusing on American politics, culture, and current events. I hope to be a popularizer bringing all of the philosophic and political wisdom I can attain at Hillsdale to the public square.
