Carolyn was born in Westerville, Ohio. She graduated cum laude with university honors from Bowling Green State University with a B.A. in History and English. While completing her undergraduate degree, Carolyn worked as the undergraduate assistant in the history department and assisted the department chair with research. She has a deep love of literature and believes there is a Taylor Swift song for every occasion.
