John received his undergraduate education at Ursinus College, a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania, where he majored in philosophy. He then attended law school at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating with high honors, John spent five years practicing law, which included a clerkship for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. John’s desire to return to academic study led him to apply to Hillsdale, where he was accepted and started the doctoral program in August 2021.
