“I wish to help existing schools that want to implement good liberal arts curricula do so successfully.”

About

After graduating with a B.A. in History, I moved to Peru and began teaching Literature at the Instituto del Sur in Arequipa and Colegio San Pedro in Lima and then middle school and high school History and Government at Nuestra SeƱora de la Reconciliacion and Colegio Villa Caritas in Lime. While at Villa Caritas, I designed and implemented a series of Liberal Arts courses for middle school. This experience of curricular development deepened my interest in Liberal Arts education, which led me to Hillsdale.

I have had the opportunity to apply my teaching experience to help the Barney Charter School Initiative here, designing and improving several of their History and Literature courses. After graduating I would like to teach middle school or high school and help existing schools that want to implement good liberal arts curricula do so successfully.
