“Hillsdale's approach to teaching political statesmanship instead of mere political science emphasizes virtue and philosophy's role in politics and is critical to understanding the history of political thought.”
Vincent grew up in Indiana and attended Wabash College, a men’s college in Crawfordsville, Indiana. While at Wabash, he received the Frank Castle award for the outstanding student in Political Science. Following graduation, he worked for the Indiana Republican Party and later in several positions in Lake County, including Elections Administration Clerk and Assistant to the Lake County Board of Commissioners. His experience working in state and local government gave him the desire to return to school and learn more to understand the theoretical foundations of good government.
